Eminence Barber Academy Opens doors for a lifelong career.
The dream started with a 16-year-old boy and a pair of clippers from Walmart. Fernando Gonzalez was tired of getting his hair cut from people and wanted to take matters into his own hands. As his life journeyed on, he found his way into barber school where he eventually would graduate, then go on to work at several shops before owning his own in 2005.
A true believer in the power of community, Fern was fortunate to have many doors opened for him during his time owning that shop, so he vowed to open many doors and opportunities for the next generation of barbers in the industry. Then the idea of Eminence Barber Academy was born. Eminence means superiority within a profession.
The name encompasses the excellence Fern desires from the academy both inside and outside the classroom. His mission is for EBA to provide excellence in the trade and business side of barbering. The Academy is a strategic way to open doors for people by creating jobs in a steady industry that will lead to a lifelong career.
